Forest Fun (Re-Do) | Silas & Stella

stella-morin:

“Oh yeah…” Stella matched his grin weakly as she remembered the deal they’d made less than half an hour ago. “Oops” she mumbled, before pulling a cheeky face, slightly annoyed at herself that she’d been the first to break it. Wrapping her arms around herself as she began to feel a little cold, she sat up once again to scowl at the boy. “Stop pretending that what happened to you was insignificant” she grumbled, before raising an eyebrow. “Pfft. Pathetic and docile? Yeah right” her chocolate eyes glinted in the moonlight as she rolled them sarcastically, the mental image of the taunting monster side of him popping up in her head, emphasising to her just how wrong his assessment of himself actually was. “Such a liar” she mutered, nose crinkling before she grinned, poking his leg again.

Unfortunately, her previous sombre mood had caught up to the boy, and she noticed he seemed to be struggling with the idea of her sympathy. Deciding it was better to let him deal with this his own way, she didn’t try to explain her compassion. Soon he’d realise that some people actually cared. Nodding as he stood up, she grasped his offered hand, meeting his smile as she looked up at him. Momentarily caught off guard, she stared into his jewel-like eyes, before blinking rapidly, embarrased. Ignoring the flush of her cheeks, she helped to pick up the items on the ground, before finding the courage to face him again. “Thanks, this was…lovely” she spoke sincerely, satisfaction echoing in her voice. He really had made it up to her, and she was suprised how nice it felt to experience the real and normal side of Silas Booth.

Even through her cute grin, Silas still felt some sort of confusion on the matter emanating from her.  Watching her wrap her petite arms around her small frame also made the boy feel an emotion of regret and vulnerability.  If only he could hug her and give her some of the warmth that didn’t spring from his body anymore.  Then her fussing began and Silas again questioned whether Stella truly meant what she said about the promised clean slate.  Sensing tension and bitterness hidden between tones of sarcasm and disappointment, he only rolled his eyes back at her, knowing the whole time that there would be need for much deeper conversation later on if their bond continued to grow.  Things needed to be put into the light, and holding them in wasn’t getting the duo anywhere.  Finally sighing with a thought, he began to pack things up once she was standing firm on her two feet.

Once those petty things had been taken care of, he stripped the blazer off of his torso and threw it to her as she commented with a changed sincerity in her voice.  He barely even looked to see if she pulled it on before beginning to walk forward without his picnic supplies.  “Yeah, don’t mention it.  I told you we’d find a way to make it all up.” The blond said flatly, his mind still rushing with the confusion that came from Stella.  So many things about her had him confused and he truthfully had nowhere to start when it came to solving his conundrums.  Finally, his mind snapped back to reality when he saw that the chocolate-haired girl had managed to hop to his side.  What did she want?  Didn’t she know that she had already caused enough confusion for one night?  Well you probably didn’t give too much help to her either, Silas, he chided himself.  Daring not to cause any more awkwardness, he cleared his throat when he began to see the forest edge coming to an end.  “I’m glad you decided to come out here with me again.  I appreciate the second chance.  Means a lot, Stella.” Silas formed, his own sincerity shining through for a moment as he lowered his eyes to her.  In the end, her demeanor alone would always cause him to have a smile creep onto his bloodied lips.

Good point…umm they could bring you a few to test out?

Hey, what’s that supposed to mean! I haven’t staged a robbery!

Yeah, like they’d come out an’ help a guy like me.

Nah, you haven’t done that, but you sure do have the spunk to slap a guy in the middle of street and call him a few choice words.  Ya’ hooligan.

Yeah I think theft is usually frowned upon. There are probably easier ways to get a guitar. Like get someone else to buy it for you?? Yeah, you don’t really seem like the hooligan type…

Then how would I properly test its quality?  Unless they were an expert, I wouldn’t trust anyone with such a delicate process.  You got that right.  Hooligan, I am not.  I’d suspect you to be more likely of obtainin’ that title nowadays.

I’m fairly sure there’s a music shop down the street, maybe you could find one there?

They only open durin’ the day, though.  If I was still in the angry state of mind maybe I woulda cracked their windows open by now and committed a small theft, but ya’ know.  I’m tryin’ to avoid that, cause trouble is for hooligans.

I need to find a guitar again.  I sorta miss feelin’ those strings beneath my fingers.

Falling Out of Trees“ by Barcelona

I finally found out how long I can hold on
I’ve got this all wrong
My heart is scared, my heart is gone

Why is it

christinefavreau:

If you think this is having an effect on me, you’re wrong. We’re square and whatever misadventures you have from now on are your own. As for being afraid, that’s a laugh. He’s not scary at all. Psychotic? Maybe. Mentally unstable? Possibly. Crazy tree-hugging, human-loving, helping-orphans and helping the elderly cross the street? Most definitely.

Good; I wouldn’t want it any other way.  Glad to hear that you can’t handle someone nice, too.  Maybe if he comes back I’ll introduce myself to him and tell him all about our lovin’ time together.

Why is it

christinefavreau:

Let me rephrase myself - I see enough of myself in you to know you’ll work your way around. If you’d rather I was like my creator to you, that could be organised - but if he’s… eccentric enough I’m skipping town to avoid him what do you think that says?

I think you’re wrong.  I’m nothin’ like you, Christine.  I don’t need you anymore.  Actually, I never needed you.  I was completely wrong to ever try bringin’ you into my life at all.  If you’re too afraid to face your own maker, then that is your own problem.
